Documentation
Mabel sits on the Git repository you already have. It gives your clients a place to edit content and read form submissions, and writes plain files back to your repo, so you never have to hand over the repo itself.
If you are new, start with Getting started. Otherwise pick a topic.
Getting startedConnect a GitHub repository and set up your first site.
FormsAdd a form endpoint to your HTML and read submissions in an inbox.
Editing contentEdit posts and pages in Markdown, with images and drafts.
Data filesTurn a YAML file into a form your client can fill in.
Team and accessInvite people and choose what each role can do.
Plans and billingWhat each plan includes and how per-site billing works.
How it works
- You connect a GitHub repository and tell Mabel which folders hold posts, pages and data files.
- You decide what clients can touch: forms, the fields in a data file, and who can edit.
- Clients sign in to Mabel to edit content and read submissions. Each save is a commit to your repository.
Because every change is a commit, your repository stays the source of truth. If you stop using Mabel, the files are still there in the format Jekyll reads.
